Online Therapy for Moms with Anxiety in Louisiana, Florida, Hawaii & Colorado

Becoming a mom is something you always knew you wanted. You had dreams of what it would be like to have that child in your life. Your dreams were once filled with smiles and hugs.

But in reality, life feels heavy and sometimes even dark. Balancing motherhood on top of adult responsibilities feels like you’re standing at the end of a firehose; everything is coming at you in full force all the time.

Being a Mom is a tough job!

The house needs cleaned, meals need to be made, the baby needs to eat, your spouse needs help finding something, and the toddler needs a nap. When are you supposed to take care of your needs?

You knew motherhood would be hard, but you had no idea how exhausting and isolating it can be. Your friends all seem to be balancing this new mom thing pretty well. So, you only tell them some of your struggles. You share with them how busy you feel, but you don’t tell them how you feel like your thoughts never stop racing. How sometimes it feels like you can’t catch your breath. Instead, you ignore it and keep going, because it is what you have to do, right? But what if life could actually look and feel different?

How Can Online Therapy Help You?

During online therapy, I help moms to learn how to breathe deeper again. Together we work to help you find tools to use in your daily life to help create emotional and physical balance.

As a mom myself I know how hard this motherhood thing can be. And it can be hard to open up and talk about how hard it actually is. I work to create a judgment-free environment where you can feel safe to talk about the hard stuff. During our online counseling sessions, you will learn how to quiet the self-judgment and use tools to help you cope with anxiety.

Having access to online therapy saves you time

One of the biggest challenges moms face is figuring out how to make time for themselves. I specialize in providing online counseling. I can help eliminate some of the struggles that can make getting to an appointment difficult. For example, you don’t have to worry about finding childcare so you can leave the house. And, you don’t have to worry about an extra 30 minutes of drive time to get to and from your appointment. During our online therapy sessions, we meet online from the comfort of your home or office, at a time that fits your busy schedule.

You can feel like yourself again

My goal is for you to begin to recognize again the woman you feel like you’ve lost in the midst of raising children. That woman is still there. Together in online therapy, we can help create the mental, emotional, and physical space for you to find your inner happiness. To do this I use a combination of evidence-based therapies to assist you on your journey towards emotional wellness.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is a short-term therapy that aims to challenge and change negative thoughts that cause anxiety and teach positive coping techniques.

  • Mindfulness: the practice of being in the present moment through guided meditation and relaxation techniques.

  • Narrative Therapy: a method of therapy that helps you separate yourself from your problems. Then, you will learn how to utilize the skills you already have to cope with your issues and re-frame your life story.

  • Trauma Therapy/ Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT): therapeutic techniques developed to help you cope with trauma.

  • Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)/Tapping: EFT involves tapping fingertips on meridian points to help relieve physical and emotional pain.
